We request that all clients interested in adopting from Cavy Care Inc.- copy, past and email the pre-adoption form completed back to Cavy Care Inc. You will then be contacted by a Cavy Care Inc Volunteer same day or the next morning of your application.  Applications are only retained for two weeks.  Setting appointments insures that there is no waiting, that the hour you have scheduled is your hour for to hold those guinea pigs you are inters tested in, ask question, have an adoption counselor available to you one on one for that hour. It's about you and the.  Once you have set an appointment, selected your guinea pig, Cavy Care Inc., will provide you with a box for your guinea pigs travel home, a free vet exam and one pound of food for your guinea pig to transfer from on to your new food.   Cavy Care Inc.  reserves the right to decline any application for any reason and to refuse the adoption of sanctuary guinea pigs for any reason..  CAVY CARE INC DOES NOT CONDUCT TOURS OR PROVIDE A PETTING EXPERIENCES. Pre-adoption form    Not all guinea pigs are listed at this time. Call if you have questions about a specific guinea pig. Babies are rare, most guinea pigs will be 6 months to a year or two. Some older guinea pigs are available.      Adoption fees         $25.00 to adopt a single guinea pig. This includes a free first veterinarian visit with one of our veterinarians. And your first pound of food.  $45.00 to adopt a single guinea pig. This includes a free first veterinarian visit with one of our veterinarians. And your first pound of food.  $10 for each additional guinea pig adopted if in groups of three or more.        CURRENTLY  AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION  122 GUINEA PIGS    We are NOT financed by federal, local or government. We are only supported through donations and adoption fees. We are solely staffed by  volunteers. Our vet's give us as much consideration as they can afford. But they have families too.  To adopt you must be 18 or older or have a legal parent or guardian who will be assisting in their care. We are looking for children over seven years of age to adopt and are at least ten to adopt a baby guinea pig under eight weeks. Appointments are set after the competition of pre-adoption forms either emailed or completed over the phone once that is done then an appointment is set. For one hour you have the uninterrupted time of an adoption counselor to answer question and help you find the perfect guinea pig as your life time family member.   We do not provide guinea pigs to day care programs, petting zoo's  or school programs as in classroom pets .
